Campaign Proposal: “Advocate Her Tune” Recording Academy, GRAMMY Awards

As a third-year media and communication studies student, we were tasked to craft an original campaign proposal including media releases, samples of online writing, fact sheets and an analysis.

Given the freedom to pursue our interest, I crafted a campaign for the Recording Academy, GRAMMY Awards, highlighting the gender pay gap in the music industry and how a female-focused event like “Advocate Her Tune” would help shed light on the issue and bridge the gap. Collaboration Campaign Proposal: Coachella X March For Our Lives

As a second-year media and communication studies student, we were tasked to create a campaign proposal that would promote change and exert media influence.

Given the freedom to choose any related topics, I decided to follow my passion and interest, by creating an original proposal for a collaboration between the annual Coachella Music Festival festival and March For Our Lives Foundation.

This independently researched proposal includes extensive research and covers the marketing action plan, budgeting and finance, timeline and target market that could make this collaboration a success (full proposal included in hyperlink)

Feature Piece: Fool Nelson

As a third-year media and communication studies student, we were tasked to create a journalism portfolio including a news article, feature piece, pitch and analysis.

Given the freedom to choose any related topics, I delved into my passion and interest by combining my love for writing with the music business industry. I created a feature piece covering local band, Fool Nelson, particularly focusing on why they weren’t in a rush to “make it big” in the industry.

This independently researched proposal includes extensive research, interviews and in-depth analysis of the band, their inspirations for creating music and the shared connections they have with their fans. (full proposal included in hyperlink)

Marketing Proposal: X- Culture Project

The X-Culture project is a university-led business module for universities worldwide to work together on a business consulting project, challenging each team to write a business plan for clients who aim to enter new international markets. As the leader of the team, I took the initiative to create team meetings and was able to build a strong team dynamic by setting achievable goals and agendas as well as maintaining strong bonds to help others when needed.

We had to work entirely remote to complete the proposal and while we had a short 7 week timeline, with differing time zones and extensive reader, I built strong partnerships and foundations by ensuring consistent communication. While the international team consisted of different cultures, background and work preferences, I was able to build a strong team dynamic, develop interpersonal, collaborative and cross-cultural communication skills which were essential in achieving success. I ensured that we were able to meet every deadline and complete each section efficiently and to a high standard(full proposal included in hyperlink)
